Resource Description
This article explores the question of how long restoration sites persist as forest and when they may be converted to alternative land uses. The authors review the literature to shed light on attributes contributing to the longevity of restoration projects as well as present a case study from Costa Rica. This article is published in the Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden as part of a special issue on "Ecological Restoration in a Changing Biosphere.
