Emi Nicholson

Online Training Associate

Drawing on her experience teaching environmental science, geology, and climate change courses, Emi facilitates ELTI’s online training opportunities and workshops.

She also maintains ELTI’s Tropical Restoration Library and mentors Yale student employees. Before joining ELTI, she worked in environmental consulting in the U.S. and the Caribbean for over six years, studying and reporting on soil and groundwater quality and hazards, land-use change, and endangered species for landowners, private corporations, and regulatory agencies. She holds a Master of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where her respective master’s and postgraduate research focused on tracking ocean circulation systems and climate patterns in the North Atlantic and analyzing coastal flood hazards related to sea-level rise.
