Coral Rodríguez

Field Coordinator ELTI Panamá, CATHALAC

Based at the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America & the Caribbean (CATHALAC), Coral has been working on land and natural resources management for a decade.

Coral is a professional geographer who uses geographical information systems to identify land and forest coverage, map creation, and collect geospatial data in the field.
She has been involved in land administration processes in the education sector, engaging with local authorities and conducting cadastral procedures to provide greater opportunities for children and young people by obtaining legal status for their land and accessing projects that contribute to their development.

She has also been involved in productive landscapes with the goal of contributing to sustainable land management, working closely with producers, local organizations, and vulnerable groups such as women and young people to strengthen their capacities.

Coral holds master's degrees in Geographic Information Systems and Higher Education from the Technological University of Panama and the University of Panama, respectively.

Being part of ELTI is a great experience that allows me to interact in the field, focused on ecosystem restoration and environmental protection alongside people who are agents of change."
