Program Manager, Nature Based Solutions and Coastal Resilience Training

Based at Yale University, Mia is ELTI’s Program Manager for Nature Based Solutions and Coastal Resilience Training.

At ELTI, Mia connects coastal practitioners across the United States with research, technical expertise, and peer networks through the development and delivery of a blended learning program. A coastal resilience practitioner, Mia brings experience advancing climate and resilience initiatives at the local, regional, and state levels across government and nonprofit sectors in the Northeast United States. Before joining ELTI, she worked in South Portland, Maine’s Sustainability Office; was a coastal resilience consultant with the Greater Portland Council of Governments; and contributed to a range of coastal and island projects with Resilient Communities L3C. Mia holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, where she focused on coastal ecosystems, regenerative aquaculture, flood resilience, and environmental equity.

I’m incredibly excited to be in a role that allows me to support coastal resilience work happening across the country. I’m looking forward to connecting projects— and the people behind them— with one another, fostering collaboration and strengthening the resilience of coastal communities."
